Concrete slabs foundation
An important choice for making the padel courts is the foundation. See here, for example, the concrete slab foundation. With this foundation, the padel court is fixed on concrete slabs. Under the artificial grass, of course, there are no concrete slabs but an approved sports floor. This means that the concrete slabs thus serve purely as a foundation for the padel courts. This is also the ideal answer as concrete slabs are easy to remove and retain value.
Structure of sand package
All our projects are built with a construction of 30 cm M3C sand with a drainage system with a drainage of round 65 mm with a PP casing. These are installed 4m1 apart H.O.H. and will be connected to the main drainage track, by means of spin-through 315 mm manholes.
Characteristics of concrete slab foundation
Concrete slab foundations are 200 x 200 x 14 concrete slabs and 200 x 100 x 14 slabs (product sheet attached). The advantage of the concrete slab foundation is that there is an immediate walking and maintenance strip around the courts (so no paving all around). The foundation is suitable for areas with soft ground (because the weight of the foundation is distributed over 4m2). Structural calculations have been made and can be applied throughout the Netherlands.
