Single court

Single Court

Padel is mainly played by four people in teams of two. This need not always be the case. In fact, padel can also be played in singles. Single courts are not suitable for official matches due to their size, but are perfect for children, training sessions and for players who struggle to find three partners.

Padel Single Court

For players who like to play 1-on-1, special padel courts have been devised for a game of singles. The dimensions are a lot smaller, so the distances are not too great. The dimensions of a normal padel court are 20 by 10 metres, while the dimensions of a Single Court are 20 by 6 metres. This ensures that the player does not have to run back and forth too much.

Differences between Single Courts and normal padel courts

There is a big difference between duo and single game. The game requires more physical effort because of its high intensity. In singles play, every ball that is hit back is for you, the intensity of the game is increased which makes you work more on your fitness. The second difference is that you will play both sides. In doubles, you stay on one side. In singles, you will have to stand both left and right to play the ball back. This trains you to become a versatile player. Lastly, communication is almost not important. You don't need to communicate with your teammate, as you must always put yourself ahead of the ball.

The impact of light pollution at sports fields

Light nuisance - also known as light nuisance - is nuisance caused by artificial light. Especially if you live near a sports field, you may experience a lot of light nuisance. The nuisance experienced is glare or lights shining on houses or through windows in the evening. Despite the fact that lighting should be switched off between 11pm and 7am and at times when there is no sport, this still does not seem to be the right solution. But what then?

Commercial reason for a padel provider: Padel court for 2 players

Single Courts have proven to be a nice alternative for players, but there are also advantages for clubs and associations: According to the providers for whom Padelbouw has built the Single Courts, these courts are the most booked. Single courts also take up much less space. A standard padel court needs 264 square metres on average, while a single court requires 176 square metres on average.

The cost of a single court court

A single court is cheaper than a padel court for doubles. Indoor single courts are about 4,000 euros cheaper and outdoor courts can save even more. It depends on the surface to be laid on the site.
