Padel court inspections for safety and quality

Professional inspections of padel courts for clubs, associations and sports facilities. Padel courts are used intensively on a daily basis. Players constantly move across the artificial grass, balls hit the glass walls and the structure is constantly under stress during play. Due to this intensive load, parts of the court can wear out or become loose over time.

Regular padel court inspections are therefore essential to ensure the safety, playing quality and durability of the court. During an inspection, specialists check the entire construction of the padel court, including the artificial grass, glass walls, steel structure and fixing points. At Allesvoorpadel, we carry out technical inspections for all padel courts, regardless of which party built the courts. Our inspections help clubs and sports facilities identify problems early and carry out maintenance or repairs in a timely manner.

STEP FOR STEP

This is how we carry out a padel court inspection

Every inspection starts with a comprehensive check of the entire padel court. Here, we assess the condition of the artificial grass, playing surface, construction and all fixing points.

An important part of this inspection is measuring the fibre length of the artificial grass. At several points on the court, we measure the length of the artificial grass fibres to accurately monitor wear. This allows us to determine whether the playing surface is still within the desired specifications.

During the inspection, we also assess the general condition of the court. This includes looking at wear of the artificial grass, soiling of the court and possible damage to the structure.

On completion of the inspection, the club will receive a comprehensive report with all the findings. This will include the measured fibre length of the artificial grass, the state of the construction and any points of concern that emerged during the inspection.

Based on this analysis, we recommend what short-term maintenance work is needed to keep the padel court safe and optimally playable.

We also draw up an indicative long-term maintenance plan (MJOP). In this plan, we provide an overview of the expected maintenance and replacement dates for the next ten years, including a rough cost indication. This gives the club insight into future investments and allows timely planning for maintenance or replacement of padel court components.

Why padel court inspections are important

Padel courts are often used daily by different players. This intensive use can wear down or damage components such as glass walls, structures and artificial grass.

Failure to spot this wear and tear in time can lead to safety risks or reduced playing quality. Regular inspections help to detect and remedy these problems early.

Having a padel court inspected periodically keeps it safe and allows it to be used intensively for many years.

Inspection of artificial turf and playing surface

The artificial grass of a padel court plays an important role in the playing characteristics of the court. During inspections, we check, among other things, the condition of the artificial grass fibres and measure the fibre length of the artificial grass at several points.

By carrying out regular inspections, we can identify wear and tear on the artificial grass in time and advise when maintenance or replacement is needed.

Inspection of glass and construction

The glass walls and steel structure form the basis of the padel court. During an inspection, we check that all structural components are still firmly and securely fastened.

In addition, we look at:

  • damage to glass walls
  • state of attachment points
  • coating of steel structure
  • mesh stability

For outdoor padel courts, we check extra for contamination from rainwater, dust and atmospheric influences.
