Maintenance

Padel court maintenance for maximum longevity

A padel court is used intensively on a daily basis. Players constantly move across the artificial grass, balls hit the glass and fencing, and with outdoor courts, weather influences such as rain, wind and temperature differences play an important role. Without proper maintenance, the quality of the court can quickly deteriorate. Professional padel court maintenance ensures that the court remains safe, the playing characteristics remain optimal and the lifespan of the artificial grass and construction is significantly extended. Keeping the artificial grass clean, checking the infill level and regularly inspecting the construction keeps the court in top condition and safe to play on.

Allesvoorpadel provides maintenance for both indoor and outdoor padel courts. Our specialists check the entire playing field, clean the artificial grass, inspect glass and steel structures and ensure that the padel court continues to meet the right standards for safety and playing quality. We also advise clubs and sports facilities on the correct maintenance schedule and associated costs. A good maintenance plan prevents major repairs and keeps maintenance costs manageable in the long term.

STEP FOR STEP

We professionally conduct padel court maintenance out.

Maintenance always starts with a comprehensive inspection of the entire padel court. In doing so, we check the artificial grass, the infill sand, the glass walls, the steel structure and the grid installation.

After the inspection, our specialists carry out maintenance. This includes deep cleaning of the artificial grass, brushing the fibres, redistributing the infill sand and cleaning glass walls and construction. This restores the playing surface to its flatness and keeps the playing characteristics of the court optimal.

On completion of the maintenance, the club will receive advice on future maintenance of the padel court. This allows the club to better plan maintenance and structurally keep the track in good condition. The report and opinion will be shared via the AVP Service App.

Maintenance of artificial grass on padel courts

The artificial turf of a padel court forms the main playing surface and is subjected to intensive use on a daily basis. The intensive use of the padel court causes the fibres of the artificial grass to flatten over time. At the same time, the infill sand moves across the surface of the court due to play and players' movements. When artificial grass is not regularly maintained, it can lead to an uneven playing surface and reduced ball bounce. In addition, dirt can accumulate in the artificial turf, reducing the water permeability of the court.

During professional maintenance, the artificial grass is deep cleaned and brushed so that the fibres stand upright again. The infill sand is also redistributed and replenished if necessary. This keeps the playing surface stable and players maintain proper ball control during play.

Maintenance of glass and steel construction

The construction of a padel court consists of glass walls, steel structures and mesh. During play, these parts are regularly hit by balls, players and rackets, which can cause wear and tear.

Glass walls are checked for dirt, damage and the condition of the sealant seams. These are caused by rackets hitting the glass, which leave plastic streaks. In addition, the glass is cleaned so that visibility around the court remains optimal. The steel structure is also checked for fixing points, coating and stability. By inspecting these components periodically, small problems can be solved in time before they cause bigger damage.

Difference between indoor and outdoor padel court maintenance

Although the basics of padel court maintenance are the same, there are distinct differences between indoor and outdoor courts.

Outdoor padel courts are exposed to rain, leaves, sand and algae growth. As a result, dirt can accumulate faster in the artificial grass and the court needs to be cleaned more often. For outdoor courts, we recommend at least 2 maintenance sessions per year, our recommendation is 3 times a year.

Indoor padel courts are less affected by weather conditions, but are subject to dust accumulation and intensive use of the playing surface. We therefore recommend at least one maintenance service per year for indoor courts, our recommendation is twice a year.

The glass walls and steel structure are essential for the safety and appearance of the padel court. We carry out a thorough inspection during professional maintenance, but as a club, you can also check on a weekly or fortnightly basis yourself:

Checklist for clubs:

- Are all nuts and bolts properly tightened?

- Are the windows not under tension or against each other anywhere?

- Are the glass brackets tight and are the rubbers (neoprene) intact?

- Is water staying on the court? Then the drainage may be clogged or the artificial grass saturated.

If in doubt: contact us. We will inspect the situation and in many cases can rectify the problem immediately, or else offer a suitable solution.

Maintenance is more than the look of the padel court, it is essential for:

  • Player safety
  • Durability of artificial grass, construction and glass
  • Maintaining playing characteristics such as ball bounce and grip
  • Preventing damage and unexpected costs
  • Professional image towards members, guests and sponsors.

With good maintenance, you invest in the quality and future of your club.
