Steel construction OVERVIEW

Why choose a steel construction canopy for padel?

Padel is increasingly being played outdoors, but weather conditions can limit the use of courts. A steel construction canopy provides protection from rain and wind, while players still retain the feel of an outdoor venue. In addition, the construction can contribute to noise reduction, which is an important benefit, especially for sports clubs near residential areas.

Allesvoorpadel provides steel construction canopies that can be fully customised to the site's requirements. The construction is designed for long-term use and meets the requirements for Dutch weather conditions.

STEP FOR STEP

This is how we realise a steel construction canopy for padel courts.

We consider how many lanes will be placed under the canopy and analyse the available space, foundation and surroundings.

Based on technical calculations, the steel structure is designed. Here, we take into account wind loads, height and expansion possibilities.

Our specialists handle the assembly of the steel structure and roof sheeting. The canopy is delivered safely and durably.

Steel construction and technical superstructure

The steel structure of the Steel Building Padel canopy consists of preserved anchors, roof purlins and ridge pulls that together form a stable support structure. The structure is finished with fasteners and purlin supports that ensure a strong and durable connection.

The steel structure is coated according to standard EN10346 with a Z275 coating and has a 10-year warranty. Structural calculations are performed based on detailed analyses and are suitable for wind area 2, with expansion possibilities for other wind zones.

Roof and wall cladding

The canopy is fitted with anthracite-coated sandwich roof panels 40 mm thick. These panels are mounted with ridge pieces, lower lugs and fillers to ensure a solid and watertight roof structure.

As standard, the walls are finished with single-walled profiled panels up to about 3 metres above ground level. Depending on requirements, the walls can be sealed completely down to ground level for extra protection or noise reduction.

Expansion options and customisation

A steel building canopy can be extended with various features that improve the use of the accommodation. Think of rainwater drainage, electrical installations or sound-absorbing materials.

In addition, expansion is possible with solar panels, additional entrances or a full wall finish. This creates a canopy that fully matches the operation and use of the padel courts.

Challenges in steel construction canopies

Realising a steel construction canopy for padel courts requires detailed technical preparation. The structure must withstand wind load, rain and intensive use, while at the same time maintaining sufficient clearance height for play. In addition, permit procedures and noise considerations often play a role, especially for locations in urban areas. Foundations and integration with existing courts must also be carefully designed. Without the right expertise, mistakes in construction or design can lead to high costs or restrictions in use. Therefore, a professional approach is essential for a safe and sustainable solution.
