Allesvoorpadel, the padel court builder from Lelystad, has a first: the first soundproof padel canopy in the Netherlands is a fact. This innovative canopy, developed by Allesvoorpadel, was installed in early May 2024 at LTVL Lelystad with four padel courts and promises to significantly reduce noise pollution for the surrounding area.

Innovative design and material
The construction, made of high-quality materials, is equipped with sound-absorbing material. This material plays a crucial role in dampening sound. This significantly reduces the noise of intensive sports activity.

Acoustic survey by Van dB Advice
To measure the effectiveness of the soundproof canopy, Arjo van den Berg of Van dB Advies conducted an acoustic study on Tuesday 28 May. The results of this study are promising: the canopy reduces noise emission to the surrounding area by as much as 8 decibels compared to outdoor padel courts. This reduction means a significant reduction in noise pollution for local residents, contributing to a better living environment around the sports facility. The noise level can be further reduced when the sides of the canopy are closed.

''This is a nice combination between a functional canopy and noise reduction. Where a noise barrier to reduce noise has no added value for padel play, this canopy does'' says Arjo van den Berg of Van dB Advies.
