Monday 25 March 2024 Allesvoorpadel was invited by RTV Drenthe to make a news item for the new sport: Padel Pingpong. The interview was held at the home of our client Racket Centre Meppel, this is also the location of our first Padel Pingpong court. Click here for the full article. In this blog, we provide a brief summary.
Padel Pingpong is a mix between padel and table tennis. The sport can be played both single and double. Padel Pingpong is a fun and low-threshold sport, allowing anyone to play it. There are many similarities between table tennis and Padel Pingpong. Games are played to eleven points, there is a table, a net and you play with bats.
What are the major differences between table tennis and Padel Pingpong?
Of course, the biggest difference is the walls that may be used to get the ball onto the opponent's side of the table. Also, the bats are different from those of ping pong and table tennis. The Padel Pingpong bats are wooden and one stroke larger. In addition, the Padel Pingpong ball is also one stroke larger than that of pingpong. Because the ball is larger, it moves more slowly and is more controllable.
How did Padel Pingpong come into being?
In 202 in Sweden, Padel Pingpong was invented by Magnus Willner and Erik Magnarsson. They came up with the idea of promoting table tennis to padel. In their office, they had the idea of using the walls with the ping-pong ball.
Accession of Allesvoorpadel
Allesvoorpadel continued to develop the court for Padel Pingpong. Of these, five have now been sold as test models, three in Denmark, one in Sweden and the last one here in Drenthe. Before this, we had placed a test model at our client Peakz Padel in the IJsselhallen.
From June, we want to bring the court fully into the market and the product should be fully developed. In the Netherlands, we want to put away 20 Padel Pingpong courts this year, but we also want to put away 40 abroad. We have already received 60 requests worldwide.
