Frequently asked questions
What type of artificial grass is used for padel?
This depends on whether you are going to build indoor or outdoor courts. It also depends on the intensity of play and how much maintenance is required. For advice, contact Allesvoorpadel justified. Indoor often uses a curly fibre and outdoor more often an upright fibre. In each kuntgras becomes sand infill added to the mat as long as along as possible.
What is the difference between monofilament and curly fibres?
Monofilament: straight fibres, faster play, especially suitable for tournaments and intensive use.
Curled fibres (fibrillated/curled): more grip, more comfortable for recreational play, but slightly slower.
How long does padel artificial grass last?
This depends on the intensity of play and maintenance. In addition, of course, which type of artificial grass is chosen. On average, artificial turf at a club lasts 5 to 8 years.
How often should artificial grass be brushed?
Every week, the artificial grass should be brushed by the club. It is important to have specialised maintenance carried out 2 or 3 times a year.
Can a logo also be made into the artificial grass?

How much sand is used in padel artificial grass?
This depends on the type of artificial grass. It varies from 8 to 15 kilograms per square metre
How do I recognise that artificial grass needs replacement?
If the fibres lie flat, the surface feels uneven or the ball bounces irregularly, it is time to replace the artificial grass. In addition, a lot of puddles may also remain on the track. This also means that water permeability has decreased because the sand in it has petrified. Sometimes this can still be repaired by a specialist such as Allesvoorpadel need to assess.
Can artificial grass be supplied in different colours?
There are many options for artificial grass colours. For padel the most commonly used colours are blue and green. But, for example, pink, red and other colours like black are also possible.

Around the padel court it is best to finish everything neatly with artificial grass. This can then be glued to the artificial grass in the court so that everything is at one level. In addition, this is easy to maintain and for indoors it also has soundproofing.
