Padel court foundation
An important choice for making padel courts is the padel court foundation. A good foundation is essential to prevent subsidence and ensure a stable, durable padel court. Allesvoorpadel works with two types of foundations: ring foundation and concrete slab foundation. Which variant is chosen depends on the subsoil and the situation on site. With both foundation methods, we provide a solid base on which to play safely and comfortably. We also specialise in areas prone to settlement. Concrete slab foundation
In this type of foundation method, the padel courts are fixed on concrete slabs that serve as a solid base. Under the artificial grass, of course, there are no concrete slabs, but an approved sports floor for optimum playing quality. This means that the concrete slabs thus serve purely as a foundation for the padel courts. This padel court foundation is suitable for temporary locations, as the slabs are easy to dismantle and promise their value. This makes it a durable and flexible solution for padel courts.
Advantages of concrete slab foundations
Concrete slab foundation consists of 200x200x14 concrete slabs and 200x100x14 slabs. The advantage of the concrete slab foundation is that it creates a walking and maintenance strip around the courts. Paving around the padel court is therefore not necessary. The foundation is suitable for areas with soft ground, as the weight of the foundation is distributed over 4m2. The structural calculations are applicable throughout the Netherlands.
Ring foundation
Ring foundations consist of reinforced concrete. Our standard ring foundation is 40x40cm and is calculated by a Dutch structural engineer. We make a trench into which we place a formwork. We pour foam concrete on the inside and outside of the formwork. When the foam concrete has dried out, we remove the formwork and insert the reinforcement, then pour the concrete. For projects on poorer soil or smaller areas, we can also have soundings carried out and have the structural engineer calculate the best option for this particular location.
Advantage of ring foundation
Constructing a ring foundation is more complicated than a concrete slab foundation. Only, a ring foundation is very practical when there is limited space for a foundation in a location. This foundation is easy to apply to small spaces compared to concrete slabs.
Settlement-prone areas
Allesvoorpadel has extensive experience in building padel courts in settlement-prone areas, where the subsoil requires extra attention. A smart and commonly used solution is to use EPS blocks under the ring foundation. This lightweight construction helps prevent subsidence and provides a stable, durable foundation. We like to think along with you in tailor-made solutions that suit your location and subsoil.
Fully driven
At XNRGY, we installed a unique foundation for the construction of the padel courts. We fully drove the site. A concrete slab was placed on top of the piles to serve as the base for the court construction.
This approach acts as a foundation in itself, separate from traditional foundations. By piling, we ensure stability. The result is an extremely solid foundation on which the sports floor and padel courts could be placed without any problems.
Structure of sand package
All our projects are built with a construction of 30 cm M3C sand and possibly with a drainage system with a drainage of round 65mm with a PP casing. These are installed 4m1 centre-to-centre apart. They are connected to the main drain, by means of 315mm through drains.
