Padel court maintenance is of great importance for playing safety and padel court quality.
Also artificial grass needs maintenance. In addition to weekly sweeping (by the association), it is recommended that twice a year specialised artificial turf maintenance to be carried out. This is beneficial for the lifespan of your artificial turf, as well as for its playing characteristics and water permeability. The better you maintain a surface, the longer it will last. Over the years, we have put together a specialised team to take care of the maintenance of the artificial grass of the padel courts. Besides keeping the top layer open, artificial turf maintenance is also important to remove dust and organic dirt from the artificial turf. Allesvoorpadel, in collaboration with its specialist maintenance partners a maintenance contract.

As the padel court is played a lot and hit and run against the glass walls and fencing during play, settling of the cage occurs, especially in the beginning. It is therefore important to inspect the cage construction within two months of installation and check that all fixing points are still secure. After the initial inspection, we recommend checking the cage construction to be checked by the experienced staff at Allesvoorpadel. Padel maintenance on the padel structure is necessary.

Depending on the location and atmospheric pollution, glass should be cleaned at least six times and steel at least four times a year. Allesvoorpadel recommends that you maintain the glass and steel construction twice a year by means of a maintenance contract to be carried out professionally. The other times you can do this padel maintenance yourself. If the glass and the powder-coated steel are not maintained preventively, there is a risk of deterioration or etching of the glass and the powder-coated steel.
Pollution such as for example from rainwater and algae growth will eventually affect the structure, causing etching and other soiling/damage to become evident.

How can you maintain the padel court yourself?
Besides specialist padel maintenance, it is also important to maintain the padel courts themselves. Maintaining the artificial turf in particular is necessary. You do this by brushing the top layer weekly and removing surface dirt. You can do this using, for example, the Padmax VX2. In addition, glass and steel can also be cleaned.

Frequently asked questions
How much sand should be on my padel court?
During installation, we immediately apply the right amount of infill sand, tailored to the type of artificial grass. With outdoor courts, however, you see that players take sand with them on their shoes, which eventually results in too little sand on the pitch. With upright fibres, a thin layer of sand should always be visible. Dark spots indicate too little infill and can lead to accelerated wear or unsafe situations. With curled fibres, the sand is deeper, making it harder to see. In doubt about the correct distribution or quantity of sand? We can come by for an inspection and, if necessary, top it up with suitable infill sand.
What is the correct net height of a padel net?
The official height is 88 cm at the centre of the net, measured from the ground. We check and correct this as standard during maintenance. A well-tensioned net contributes to the playing quality and professional appearance of the court.
Mains cable burst, now what?
You have two options:
- Pull a new mains cable through the existing mains and re-tension it.
- Replace the entire net if it is outdated or damaged.
We supply both nets and steel cables directly from stock. Our advice: always keep a spare cable as well as an extra net at the club.
The glass of my padel court is broken, what can I do?
Is a glass plate cracked or broken? We have several standard sizes in stock and can replace them immediately if available. If the right size is not in stock, we will measure the glass precisely, order it to size and take care of the complete replacement. Our fitters also check the fastening of surrounding panels to prevent recurrence.
How often should a padel court be maintained?
Weekly maintenance: to be carried out by the club itself (including dragging, blowing clean, checking net).
Major maintenance: Indoor: 1-2 times a year
Outdoor: at least 2 times a year, preferably 3
Allesvoorpadel creates a multi-year maintenance plan for clubs, viewable via the KIWA Spot-on app. In it, you can see inspection reports, maintenance reports and future maintenance dates.

How do I maintain the glass and steel structure?
The glass walls and steel structure are essential for the safety and appearance of the padel court. We carry out a thorough inspection during professional maintenance, but as a club, you can also check on a weekly or fortnightly basis yourself:
Checklist for clubs:
- Are all bolts and nuts properly tightened?
- Are the windows not under tension or against each other anywhere?
- Are the glass brackets tight and are the rubbers (neoprene) intact?
- Is water staying on the court? Then the drainage may be clogged or the artificial grass saturated.
If in doubt: contact us. We will inspect the situation and in many cases can rectify the problem immediately, or else offer a suitable solution.
