Speedsoccer is basically indoor football on artificial grass, with the speedsoccer pitch completely surrounded by boarding and nets. Speedsoccer pitches can also be built outdoors. Because the speedsoccer pitch is completely surrounded, this sport is a lot more intense than football. Players get to the ball more often, there is more teamwork and more goals can be scored. Speedsoccer is one of the fastest-growing sports and this is due to its speed, attractiveness and easy accessibility.
Speedsoccer and indoor football
Speedsoccer rinks are initially very similar to indoor football rinks. After all, both are indoor football, but there are differences. With a speedsoccer court, the surface is artificial grass, while with indoor football it is often made of hard material. Also, compared to indoor football, a speedsoccer court is fairly small, 30 by 15 metres. In addition, the playing field in speedsoccer is completely surrounded by boarding and nets. As a result, there is no offside and you almost never encounter corner kicks. No offside results in the fact that you keep running in indoor speedsoccer. You play speed soccer in a team of four players and one goalkeeper. You therefore play five against five and it is important to have at least two substitutes, because speedsoccer is a very intensive sport.
