Philips BVP656

Jointly with Oostendorp Netherlands we supply these Philips luminaires. Outdoor accommodations are often lit by spot lighting, where the luminaires are placed on the posts of the padel cage structure. The recommended light point height is 6 metres, but this is not a hard requirement. At 6 metres height, the luminaires do give the best light image on the court. For point lighting in outdoor applications, we supply the Philips BVP656. The luminaires can be placed almost flat, minimising glare during play. Padel court lighting can be supplied in two variants. Outdoor padel courts have a light level of at least 300 lux and indoor padel courts of at least 500 lux.

The benefits of the Philips BVP140:

Lednovate Orion

The Orion LED luminaires from LEDNOVATE are the standard for professional padel lighting. With an output of 300 watts and an impressive light output of 48,000 lumens they offer bright, even light without annoying glare. Thanks to the asymmetric T3 light beam the track is optimally illuminated, exactly where it is needed.

These luminaires are equipped with Lumileds 5050 LEDs, available in 4000K or 5000K, and offer high efficiency of 160 lm/W. The robust housing (IP66/IK10) and high-quality finish make them suitable for intensive outdoor use. Moreover, they are DALI-2 dimmable, enabling energy saving and lighting control.

New Lineal

The New Lineal LED luminaires from AFP Courts are designed for powerful and efficient lighting of padel courts. With a modern, modular design - consisting of a 240W 2-module system or a 3-module system of 320W - these fixtures fit seamlessly into any high-quality padel facility.

With a light output of 38,400 to 51,200 lumens and an efficiency of 160 lm/W the New Lineal luminaires provide bright, even light across the entire court. They are equipped with Lumileds 5050 LEDs and available in a neutral 5000K colour temperature, ideal for sports environments with fast-paced action and high visibility.

Linea Series

A light line has the advantage of creating a more even illumination on the court. The light comes from the entire length of the court, improving the playing experience. Because the LEDs are in a closed housing, the luminaires are not prone to failure and therefore last a very long time (durable). Dynamic controls have also been added here, allowing the courts to be dimmed individually to a pleasant light level.

The Linea Series from Sportverlichting.com has been specially developed for indoor padel courts where accurate light distribution, durability and energy efficiency come together. These luminaires deliver a light output of 11,250 lumens at only 75 watts, with a high efficiency of 150 lm/W.

Thanks to the Samsung LM561C LEDs and the choice of different beam angles (such as 30°, 60°, 90°, 120° and asymmetric), this lighting offers optimal visibility and playing experience on any indoor court.

Frequently asked questions

Which lighting is suitable for padel courts?

Lighting determines playing quality and safety. With the right light intensity and even distribution, players see the ball better, even at night or in winter. Besides, you don't want to be blinded during the game either.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Tennis pylons are often far away from the court and are a lot higher. This often causes shadows on the padel court and the light level is uneven. On the padel courts sit masts averaging 6 metres in height.

Most commonly used are luminaires. This is because it is a bit cheaper and easier to replace in the long run. LED lines have a slightly more luxurious look and here the price is accordingly. It is a personal feeling what the player likes.

Yes, we also guide clubs and investors in the start-up phase with profitability calculations, operating models and club management advice.

This varies depending on the type of luminaire and the desired brightness on the padel court. In most cases, 4 luminaires per lane are used and in some cases 8 luminaires per padel court.

For associations, claims can be made to the BOSA scheme. For lighting, it is even higher, at 40% of the total cost of lighting. So consider not only the luminaires but also the cables needed to make it.

Yes, lighting can be equipped with smart controls, for example for dimming, time switching or linking to reservation systems.
